How to Promote your Photography using Facebook

How to Promote your Photography using Facebook:

"Being an amateur photographer, promoting my photography from commercial stand?point was difficult. I started my own website (burning a good amount of cash) whose promotion took me endless mailers and sharing on social networks, resulting in a page?loads exceeding my expectations however, generating almost no business. I had a feedback mechanism which never saw light of more than a couple of dozen comments. Upon investigating I concluded that reaching out to mass audience is possible via mail but to remain fresh in their memory is not possible and eventually you are branded as a virtual terrorist disguising under email bombing!"

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 takes fifth place in our roundup of 2011 antivirus software, closely trailing fourth-place finisher G-Data AntiVirus 2011. It did a great job at stopping brand new malware attacks, and a reasonable--though not top-notch--job at detecting known malware, and it sports a well-designed interface. On the downside, its impact on PC performance was worse than average.

Kasperky features a highly streamlined installation process: You have to click through only two screens before installation begins. Once you install, you'll be given the option to activate it or run it in 30-day trial mode.

GIGABYTE Tech Daily: TweakTown Gets a First Look at the GIGABYTE P67A-UD7 Motherboard

The folks over at TweakTown recently got their hands on GIGABYTE’s flagship motherboard for the Intel 6 series platform and noticed a few differences from GIGABYTE motherboards in the past. Here’s what Sean had to say:

The P67A-UD7 from GIGABYTE has raised many questions. The product is clearly an almost complete redesign from their typical high-end layout. Gone are things like the Silent Pipe II cooling system and the 12 phase power that we had seen before. Now we are seeing a much more “brute” force attack on performance and also in design.

The overall effect of the board is of something new from GB. The black PCB, slots and even the new gold and black cooling suggests performance and power.

ve you ever wondered if there will be a reviewer or website out there keen to cover all hardware aspects of a motherboard you are looking to purchase? I am talking a lot more than just a layout or a mention of one or two controllers, I’m talking every controller and any feature worth noting and then discussion in-depth what they do and how they perform.

Well you are in luck today as we came across a review of the X58A-UD5 rev2.0 on Xtreme Systems written by sin0822 from Northern Virginia, USA. This bloke’s passion for hardware is evident in his methodical review of every single aspect of board’s design and functionality. This is a must read!

I’ll leave you with the review link and a couple of photos from the writeup, go check it out here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=262904

Man proposes to girlfriend via an iPhone app | t-break: Tech @ Its Fastest

Want to propose to your girlfriend? Well, there’s an app for that!
Sahba Idelkhani wanted to utter the four word phrase to his longtime girlfriend, but instead of hiding the ring in a cake, or leave it swimming in her glass of champaign, he set out to design an iPhone app to do the deed. Idelkhani gave a Texas-based game developer AUD $1500 to write the app, which took his girlfriend Melody on a 200km trip down memory lane.

Lithium-Ion batteries receive 10x battery life boost - SlashGear

Lithium-Ion batteries receive 10x battery life boost - SlashGear

I don’t know much of anything about the science behind batteries, but I do know that a battery life boost of 10x is something I am very interested in. Apparently the gist of what’s needed to get that sizeable of a boost is to change the platform or anode from the carbon that is currently used to silicon, which is already in use in tons of other electronics in other capacities.

The reason being is that the silicon is far less likely to fracture under the load of the ions as the silicon can shrink and expand. Yi Cui has filed a patent and is hopeful that companies will quickly adopt this technology.

So basically, your cheap generic laptop that maybe gets 2 hours of battery life would be hitting 20 hours, a feat laptops cost three grand and up can’t even achieve while maintaining a reasonable size and weight. Just imagine how much longer you could work on the go or how much smaller some devices could get if their batteries could shrink but maintain the same if not longer battery life, I can’t wait.

GIGABYTE Tech Daily: GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD7 Preview on Bjorn3d

The GIGABYTE P67A-UD7 motherboard looks like an excellent board for hard core gamers and overclockers. The overall motherboard has a very clean and high-quality design which represents GIGABYTE’s Ultra Durable 3 motherboards really well. We can physically feel the sturdiness of the board, making it even more suitable for heavy heatsinks and other coolers.

Gigabyte Aivia K8100 keyboard review | t-break: Tech @ Its Fastest

Gigabyte Aivia K8100 keyboard review | t-break: Tech @ Its Fastest:

"The Aivia gaming keyboard marks Gigabyte’s first foray into this competitive market of high-end PC peripherals; a segment usually dominated by Razer and Logitech. That said, there’s always room for more, and competition will always work in the favor of the consumers at the end of the day.

Opening up the rather large box, I find the Aivia keyboard nestled within a lot of plastic, cardboard and foam protection. The extras include a silicone cover, an additional set of rubberized WASD keys along with a puller and a Drivers CD which contains the Ghost Macro Engine."

GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H Review | Motherboards.org

GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H Review | Motherboards.org:

"It has been an interesting 2010 so far in the world of computers. The delayed introduction of Fermi and the resulting domination of ATI video cards has continued, and Fermi, while faster than the HD 5870 in many respects, simply didn’t have the same power draw and cost metric. On the CPU side of things, Intel has released Core i5 and i3 CPUs with integrated graphics on the CPU itself. AMD has launched low cost 6-core CPUs and chipsets to support the new CPUs in the form of the 8 series chipsets and will likely launch their Fusion APU with integrated graphics on the CPU die in 2011."

In the meantime, AMD has four distinct chipsets in their 8 Series of motherboards, including the 890FX for the high-end, the 890GX for the high end integrated solution, the 880G for the mainstream integrated solution and the 870 chipset for the mainstream non-integrated solution. The high/lo mix of chipsets for motherboards allows manufacturers flexibility when building systems. GIGABYTE is a Tier-1 motherboard manufacturer building motherboards, cases, video cards and other computer related equipment. Today, I’m reviewing the GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H motherboard based upon the 880G chipset.
